Hello! Elizabeth again. I will be teling you a little about English foods.
English food has changed alot since the 1950s. The main dish is fish and chips. In England, cookies and crackers are called biscuits. Meats are a big thing here as well. Beef is an all-time English favorite meat. We have three main meals each day. It used to be, for breakfast (between 7 and 9am), we mainly ate bacon, black pudding, fried egg, and baked beans, and the little children usually ate cereal for breakfast. Nowadays, breakfast consists mainly of cereal, a slice of toast, orange juice, and a cup of coffee. Lunch is eaten between 12 and 1:30pm, consisting of something like a sandwich, crisps, fruit and a drink. For the main meal of the day, supper (eaten between 6:30 and 8pm), usually consists of a meat and two vegetables. On Sundays we have something called the Sunday Roast Dinner. The Sunday Roast Dinner is usually eaten around lunchtime, and traditionally consists of roasted meat, 2 different kinds of vegetables, and potatoes with a Yorkshire pudding.
