Inaguration

Sorry I was gone for a few days. I went all the way to America to see the innaguration of president elect (now, full fledged president) Barack Obama. I saw quite a few people from out of the country. For example, I met a man from Ireland. A few people from Japan. Everyone was exicted about the new president. I didn't go to any of the balls. I only went to the innaguration. I had to wait in line for 2 hours to get the tickets. Well, actually, not I, but my father stood in line for my family. I was getting something hot to drink at a starbucks. Then, the next day we had to walk a couple of miles to get to the actual innaguration site. We were supposed to be in the silver standing section. When we got the the designated area, there was a huge crowd of people from many different areas of the world. One odd man stood on top of a street light trying to give us some message, but even the people who spoke fluent English didn't know what he said. Then, after quite some time, we rushed the gate and knocked it down. The gate was made of metal, but nobody got hurt. The people were so determined to see him, some climbed trees, others stood on top of each other's shoulders. However, I wasn't so lucky, because all of the trees were climbed, and I didn't feel like standing on top of anyone's shoulders. So, my family left early. Before I left, though I witnessed the people boo the previous president, George W. Bush. It seems the American public was less than pleased with his actions. On my way out, it was quite a walk as well. Quite a few of the subways and streets were closed, so that made it seem quite difficult to find transportation back to my hotel. It was a nice trip overall though. I got to go on a few tours go to a few stores, and see most of the innaguration ceremony live. Then I saw the speech from the comfort of my nice warm hotel.
