Hey guys, I just got a horse!!!! It's a Belgian horse named Winnie the Pooh. I love him sooo much! Winnie is a descendant of one of the tallest Belgians horses in history. This horse, Radar, stood 19 1/2 hands high which is about 6ft and 7in tall.

Belgian horses were bred to plow the fertile soil in Belgium. They weigh in at about 2,000 pounds and are about 17 hands high. These horses were shipped out all around the country because they needed heavy built horses to pull wagons and plow the land. In America they even pulled freight wagons around to towns to feed the people.

I can't wait to start riding Winnie! When he gets older we are going to enter him in show rings and pulling contests. Talk to you guys later. :)
